Implementation of Summertime Energy Conservation Measures
June 1st, 2011
We wish to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Japan. We sincerely hope for the earliest recovery of the people and regions affected by this disaster.
On May 25th, 2011, the Japanese government imposed restrictions on power use under the Article 27 of the Electricity Business Act. To comply with the government’s energy conservation plan, we will reduce our power consumption supplied by Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and Tohoku Electric Power Company by 15 percent. We are also committed to decreasing our energy consumption in other regions.
