CSR Philosophy and Principles

Our Principles

Our fundamental principles, since our founding by Senju Sato, govern maintenance of a balanced and harmonious relationship with stakeholders including customers, employees, suppliers, local communities, job seekers, financial institutions and governments and strive to fulfill the following commitments to achieve the highest possible level of standards.

Senju's philosophy also incorporates compliance with the Electronics Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) and we are proud of our strong 'green movement' including our own ECOtronics initiative to minimize the effects on the environment within our immediate facilities and beyond.

Human Rights and Labor Standards

1. We adhere strictly to relevant employment and labor laws to ensure compliance with human rights standards, including child labor and forced labor.

2. We strive to value and respect the differences of individuals in the workforce and do not tolerate any form of discrimination including harassment or violence due to differences in race, religion, gender, nationality, disability, and age.

Competitions and Fair Trading

1. We ensure to comply with relevant administrative laws and regulations to engage in free competition and to conduct business with the highest standards of integrity.

2. We endeavor to establish a management system in order to implement and maintain confidentiality of internal and external business information.

3. We are committed to report accurate financial information and will not provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information.

4. We fully comply with relevant laws and regulations to properly handle import and export transactions.

5. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and will not infringe any third party's rights.

6. We will not have any interaction with antisocial groups that threaten the public order or security, and never engage in bribery by offering or receiving money or gifts.

Health and Safety

1. We ensure to comply with labor law standards and health and safety legislation to achieve the standards of good practices and to create safe working environments.

2. By establishing and implementing a Managing Systems for Health and Safety, we provide sufficient resources to our employees to ensure that risks are effectively managed.

3. We comply strictly with laws and internal standards to prevent accidents from occurring in the work place and to promote good health and safety practices.

Environment

1. We fully comply with all relevant legislation in all areas in which we operate and to set our own environmental targets to adopt responsible environmental practices.

2. We evaluate and monitor our business activities impacting upon environmental matters:
I. Energy and resource conservation
II. Waste minimization
III. Reduction in the use of hazardous chemical substances

3. We work diligently to build and maintain relationship with the community to protect and sustain environment.

Product Quality and Safety

We aim to establish and apply a quality management system to ensure product quality and safety.

Community Engagement

We strive to actively participate in social contribution activities and to build long-term relationships with community neighbors and partners.
